What this site does

Greenville Septic is not a certified septic contractor or inspector and does not perform septic work. We take service requests and work to connect property owners with certified septic professionals serving Greenville and Pitt County.

Nothing on this site should be read as a claim that Greenville Septic holds any particular licence, certification, registration, or endorsement, or that it employs certified installers or inspectors. Submitting the request form does not create an agreement for work, and we do not guarantee that a professional will be available for your property or your timeframe.

Septic work in North Carolina

On-site wastewater systems in North Carolina are governed by 15A NCAC 18E. North Carolina's on-site wastewater rules were rewritten effective January 1, 2024 — the first substantial overhaul in more than three decades. Permits, soil evaluations, and final inspections are issued at county level — for this service area, by Pitt County Environmental Health — and installation and inspection work is performed by contractors certified through the North Carolina Onsite Wastewater Contractor Inspector Certification Board.

Greenville Septic holds no such certification and does not perform, supervise, or warrant septic work. Verify the certification of any contractor before work begins; the state board publishes a certification list for exactly that purpose.

They are not legal, engineering, real-estate, environmental-health, or professional septic advice, and they cannot account for the specifics of your property, its soil, or its permitted system design. Regulatory details are summarized for readability and can change — verify against the primary source where the answer actually matters to a decision you are making.

Where we cite rules, figures, or events, we link the source so you can check it. If you find something here that is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

Emergencies

This website is not an emergency service. If there is a medical emergency, a structural collapse risk, an open or collapsed septic tank, or any immediate danger to a person, call 911. Never enter a septic tank to attempt a rescue — the atmosphere inside can incapacitate a person within seconds, and would-be rescuers are a recurring cause of multiple-fatality incidents. Submitting the form on this site does not summon emergency services.

Response times

We do not guarantee a response time, an arrival time, or that a septic professional will be available for your request. The form is accepted at any hour; that is a statement about the form, not about anyone's availability. During regional events — a hurricane, a prolonged wet spell that saturates drain fields across the county — demand spikes everywhere at once and every provider's availability is affected. We would rather say that plainly than promise a number nobody controls.

Estimates and scope

Any figures discussed on this site are general ranges, not quotes. Actual scope and price depend on what a site visit, the system records, and a soil evaluation show. Written scopes and agreements between you and the contractor govern the work itself; nothing on this website is an offer or a contract.

Third-party links

We link to outside sources such as state agencies, county environmental health, and industry bodies for verification. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

Limitation of liability

The website is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Greenville Septic is not liable for losses arising from reliance on general information published here, or from the acts or omissions of any independent contractor you engage.
